Home office organization …getting unstuck

Welcome to the new year!  I, for one, am very happy to see it.

I’ve cleaned almost every inch of my little house, I entered all my 2013 receipts into Quicken and, most importantly, I worked on my own home office organization.

Loved this, but it seemed to encourage business of a bit of a frantic and unsettled nature.

Whenever I want to change the energy of my business, I find that decluttering the office, doing a thorough cleaning and then reorganizing it, brings me a renewed sense of enthusiasm for the work I do.  I fixed some nagging things that I didn’t have time to work on last year.  I even found a perfect light source from IKEA to tuck into the top of the armoire.  What a difference some light makes!

This year, I want things to stabilize.  A steady stream of clients to assist with their moves or to get their homes and offices organized.  Doesn’t this just feel like that?  New office organization products from The Container Store.  I use Bigso Stockholm boxes to hold all my paper and related work materials.

Much more sedate, uncluttered and ready for a nice solid year of business.

If you find your business is stuck, or you’re just not inspired by your work, I highly recommend reorganizing your office.  I am looking forward to new business in 2014!
